Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast born on the 14th of March 1997 in the city of Columbus, Ohio. She is considered to be one of the most outstanding gymnasts. Biles was the very first gymnast from the United States to ever win four gold medals during one Games. At Rio de Janeiro, she was also the first female to have won consecutive World All-Around titles. Biles is a native of Spring Texas. Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) took them in as adoptees. They grew in the Houston metropolitan area. Simone began to take an interest in gymnastics at age six during a day-care field trip in Bannon's Gymnastix and stayed there for 11 years, under supervision of trainer Aimee Boorman. Biles received a silver medal in vault, and also a medal in floor during the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. The year 2011 saw her begin participating in the elite level of competition. Within two years she had dominated this event. Biles was notable for her consistent performance, exuberant personality as well as the difficult routines she performed in each of the four events including vault, uneven bars and the balance beam.
