Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jimenez; 2 September 1966)[3][4][5] is a Mexican and American actress and film producer. She started her career in Mexico with leading roles in the telenovela Teresa (1989-1991) as well as the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) and for which she received an Ariel Award nomination. The actress soon made her mark in Hollywood by appearing in films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), and Dogma (1999). Hayek's portrayal as painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002) which she also produced she became the first Mexican actress to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress[6Additionally, she was awarded the Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek starred in the action-packed Once Upon a Time in Mexico pictures in subsequent years and shifted her focus to producing.
